  • University of Tennessee Martin - The UT Martin Department of Biological Sciences is an undergraduate program offering degrees in Biological Sciences within one of three concentrations: Cell and Molecular Biology, Organismal Biology, and Ecology and Environmental Biology. Complimenting our program are courses and field trips to the Reelfoot Lake Environmental Field Station.

  • Eastern Kentucky University - Eastern Kentucky University’s Department of Biological Sciences (http://biology.eku.edu) has over 500 undergraduates and 40 MS graduate students. Our 30 full-time faculty with PhDs not only teach in the classrooms and labs on a daily basis, but also guide both graduate and undergraduate students in independent research projects. We take learning and critical thinking seriously, and expect our students to do the same. Our faculty members are dedicated and caring educators actively engaged in research and concerned about the welfare and future of each and every student. We are proud of the diversity and success of our students.

  • James Madison University - Located in the Shenandoah Valley, the biology department at James Madison University is located in the Biosciences building on East campus. With over 1000 undergraduates and 19 graduate students, the department offers a wide variety of courses in biology and a two-year program for the M.S. in biology degree. The 44 full-time faculty teach and research in a broad range of sub-disciplines mentoring student researchers during the summer and academic year. Many faculty are supported in the research by external or internal funds. Research spaces are located near faculty offices and most classes are taught in the Biosciences building.

  • Samford University - Samford University's Department of Biological and Environmental Sciences offers a fully online Master of Science degree in Environmental Health, Policy, and Management.   • Southern Appalachian Botanical Society - In 1935 The Southern Appalachian Botanical Club was formed at West Virginia University for all persons interested in the botany of the Southern Appalachian Mountains. Today, the name and purpose has changed slightly to the Southern Appalachian Botanical Society (SABS) with its focus on the botany of the eastern states. The membership includes professional and amateur botanists from across the country who are interested in eastern botany, in the journal Castanea, and in the activities of the society. Members receive online and print access to the journal, regular society updates in our quarterly newsletter Chinquapin, and the opportunity for research and travel funding. Membership is inexpensive, as low as $45 for professionals and $20 for students. Students who register or renew their membership at the ASB 2019 conference will receive a free t-shirt.
